Tessere Necklace – Aquamarine & Pink Sapphire, 18K Gold

The Tessere Necklace hangs a single tile of colour on a fine 18K yellow gold chain: an emerald-cut aquamarine set east–west and held at its short ends by polished gold walls, with a round pink sapphire in a full bezel at its lower corner. The chain is attached at both sides, so the tile sits flat and still at the base of the neck, and the closure ends in a small flower-shaped tag engraved Tessere.

In Italian, tessere are the small tiles of a mosaic. For centuries, Italian craftsmen built entire worlds this way, one piece of colour after another.
